The Chamber Business to Consumer group meets on a regular basis with regular meeting invites sent out to members.
Meetings take place between 6pm – 7pm either at a local business or at the Town Hall and are open to Chamber members only. That said, from time to time all businesses in the High Street are invited to debate key issues facing the town.
Right now the key issues under discussion by our retail group are access to Superfast Broadband across the Somer Valley, the Midsomer Norton Regeneration Plan and the increasing pressures on our local transport and general infrastructure.
Another element of the Chamber’s role is keeping members aware of local issues such as road closures There are also important changes afoot with regards to summer community events and the 2015 Midsomer Norton Carnival in November.
Issues discussed at meetings range from road closures to running events and planning applications to the future development plans for the Valley.
The Chamber’s Town Team also take part in the Midsomer Norton Award Winning In Bloom hanging basket project – with 100 stunning baskets along the full length of the High Street.
